Tiny Desk AI Troubleshooting: Uploads, Tasks and Credits
Resolve photo upload errors, understand queued and unknown submissions, check credit returns and recover existing Tiny Desk tasks safely.
If a Tiny Desk video appears stuck, check the existing task in My videos before submitting another generation. A slow page, missing receipt and confirmed failed task require different actions. Keep the task ID and follow the displayed task and credit status.
Why will my photo not upload?
Use a real JPG, PNG or WebP up to 8 MiB. The service checks file contents, so renaming a HEIC file does not convert it. Export a supported copy and check that it opens on your device. The photo guide shows the preparation steps and examples.
A local image preview only confirms selection. Uploading requires sign-in, a verified email and available photo storage. If your uploaded photo has expired, select it again from your device. If a 10-minute phone transfer expires, generate a fresh code on the computer. A safety rejection is separate from a file error: use material you are allowed to submit.
Why is the generation button unavailable?
Check sign-in and email verification, successful photo upload, service availability, the displayed credit balance and consent confirmation. A balance that failed to load is not proof of a zero balance; refresh it first. The current verified mode is a single-person, fixed 15-second template. Scene idea pages do not unlock extra performers, styles or longer output.
Generation and purchases have separate availability. Buying a pack does not automatically submit a task. Check live pricing for current purchase options and the creation steps before starting.
What do the task states mean?
- Queued: a task exists and is waiting to enter submission. Check this task again.
- Submitting to the model: the system is trying to obtain a provider receipt. A missing receipt is not proof of rejection.
- Creating your performance / processing: the task is being followed with the provider. Use the existing task's status control.
- Succeeded: a result has been accepted. Open its playback and available downloads. A missing second variant is a download issue to investigate, not a reason to buy the same task again.
- Failed: failure has been confirmed. Review the credit-return indicator on this task and your account balance.
There is no guaranteed completion time or numeric queue position in this guide. Do not interpret a stalled animation or closed tab as a confirmed failure.
What if submission or payment confirmation is unknown?
For a submission unknown message, the provider may have accepted the request but its receipt is missing. Keep the existing task; the workflow does not blindly resubmit that uncertain request. Contact support with its ID so the provider task can be matched.
For a provider retry pending or settlement retry pending message, use the status check on the same task. A status refresh queries or reconciles the existing task; it is different from clicking to create a new video.
A new generation is a new request and normally has its own credit cost. Repeatedly clicking after a network timeout can create ambiguity. If an order was paid but the balance has not updated, retain the order reference and contact billing support, rather than purchasing another pack to fix the first order.
When are video credits returned?
For a confirmed failed task that charged credits, the system settles the failure and reverses that task's recorded credit consumption once. The task then shows Credits returned. If it still shows processing, an unknown submission, or pending reconciliation, do not assume the return has completed.
A rejection before task creation may not have spent a credit, so there may be no deduction to reverse. Compare the task record and your credit history. Credit restoration is not a cash refund, and a new manually submitted task is not a promised free retry. Cash refund eligibility follows the Terms of Service, not the status label alone.
If the task is marked failed but its credit-return status is unresolved or inconsistent with your history, contact support with the task ID and the time observed. Do not include private result links in a public post.
Why is a successful video missing or not downloading?
Open the successful task while signed in to its owner account. Use the available music or silent download button. Both downloads belong to that task; requesting another available variant does not create a new generation.
A private phone-result link lasts 10 minutes. Refresh the sharing link from the owner account if it expires. Delivery files have a seven-day lifecycle, so save a local copy promptly; renewing a link cannot restore an already removed file. See the download guide and phone steps.
A wrong face, unexpected hand movement or imperfect lip sync is a result-quality issue, not necessarily a technical failure. Preserve the task reference and describe the specific problem to support. No page promises exact identity, original music or a particular creative result.
What should I send to support?
Use support with the task or order ID, approximate submission time, displayed status/error, browser/OS version and steps already tried. A cropped screenshot can help if it hides unrelated account details. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, card details or a public link to a private portrait. Support may ask for necessary additional information privately.
