Is Tiny Desk AI Free? Previews, Credits and Current Pricing
Understand what is free to view, why a photo preview is not a generated video, and the current availability of Tiny Desk credit purchases.
Tiny Desk's guides and reference examples are free to view. Personal video generation requires video credits; do not treat a local photo preview as a free generated video. As checked on October 30, 2026, new credit purchases are unavailable. Existing accounts with usable credits can check generation access in the studio.
What can I use without paying?
You can read the workflow guide, compare scene compositions, check photo requirements and view the reference examples. Selecting a portrait for local preview does not spend a video credit or produce a personalised video.
An example clip shows the intended style. It is not a generated preview of your own face.
How many credits does a video use?
The current template workflow lists one video credit for one 15-second task. Review the required credits in the studio before submitting, since the available mode and requirements can change. Only a submitted task enters My videos.
The task record shows its status and credit result. If a job fails or appears stuck, check that record before submitting again. Support can investigate using the task ID.
What do the displayed prices mean?
The site currently displays proposed one-time packs: $9.99 for one video, $19.99 for three, and $29.99 for five. They are not available checkout offers while purchases are disabled. Viewing a price card does not mean you can buy credits today, and an account alone does not include a promised free video.
Check the pricing section for the current purchase status. If you need to make a video immediately and have no usable credits, this site cannot currently complete a new purchase for you.
Does payment include the original Outstanding recording?
A video credit does not grant a licence to a song or a concert recording. Do not assume exact original audio, a particular voice or exact lip synchronisation. Listen to your actual completed file and check permissions for the audio you plan to publish.
Tiny Desk is independent and is not affiliated with NPR or the original performers. The Outstanding composition guide explains the visual direction and its limits.
